Single Mothers

I thank God for this Day Dec 24, 2011. I thank God for allowing me to serve him. If it had not been for Jesus in raising my children, I don't know what I would have done. My children and grandchildren enjoyed the day: we cooked out and shared the gift of Jesus Christ's birth. They say it could not be done but I managed  to raise all three of my children alone. I never gave up on Jesus and I never will. My recommendation with the times as it is not just for mother but all man kind to find your place in the Lord and never get out.  Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus' Birth

Walking out into a cool crisp evening, temperature about 59 degrees, stars glistening and all about the neighborhood the lights are shimmering signifying the birth of Jesus.  Can you imagine the anxiety of the shepherds?  One bright star was in the sky; a star leading to our savior, our messiah, the one who would live and die for our sin. I can imagine the shepherd’s steps were not quick or long enough to reach their destiny. It had to be an honor to see Jesus Christ lying in a manger!

Death the Door Stopper

Today we buried one of my best friends mother; last year this time we buried one of my friends' sister who died from cancer. We say it playfully all the time this time of the year. “You or I might not make it to the New Year.”  No one knows there cut off time; it’s not a good feeling but Earth is not our home. We are sad but the bible tells us death is a time for rejoicing and a birth is time for weeping. It takes many life lessons to understand this saying. Giving our life to Jesus is the only way!!!!!!!

What do u really think about Xmas?

Can We Stop The Madness?

It is 6:05 and I am sitting in traffic in a town with the population of 17,000. I am out shopping this evening and the traffic is bumper to bumper. The East bound traffic is moving not stopping for the caution light. Therefore, the North bound traffic is sitting through several light changes. Everybody was going somewhere to get nothing. Have we really become that commercialized? Did you know the highest number of suicides is committed during Christmas and Valentine’s Day? There are a lot of people who are alone and broke. I’m sure our economical situation has escalated this situation.  Please be a giver this year; I saw on the news where there are layaway Angels this year. People are going to Wal-Mart and K-mart paying for people layaways. What a Blessing!!!!

Joseph "Jesus' Birth"

Joseph was a Carpenter; he is Jesus Christ earthly father. Joseph was engaged to Mary and shortly after, he discovered Mary was pregnant. Bewildered and confused Joseph first thought was Mary had been unfaithful.  Joseph being an upright man, and not desiring to make her a public example, had a mind to break their engagement. However, after he had been informed of the truth by an angel (Matthew 1:18-25), he treated Mary kindly.

Joseph and Mary were hardly special individuals in themselves, but God graciously used them for His purpose to bring His Son into the world.

We need to honor Joseph because he was a considerate husband, an obedient servant, and a good citizen.

Mary "Jesus' Birth"

Pregnant,  a virgin and engaged to be married, if I was Mary all my humanly emotions would have told me to be scared. Of course in this day and time to see a unwedded mother is everyday, but in those day it was not heard of. Reading the story as it happened the spiritual side of me would have cried “rejoice ” after getting over the shock. Read Mathew 1:18-23

Cell vs Bible

  vs

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our pockets or purses?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forget it?
What if we used it to receive message from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of an emergency?
This is something to make you go …hmm…Where’s my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing.

Unlike our cell phone, we don’t have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think ‘where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!

When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you!

“Don’t measure today’s success by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you sow”

Peace

Sometimes our peace is broken.
We stop.
We look.
We search.
We find the obvious is in our mist.
Our love ones, our work and ourselves.
So blinded we are from the realness.
The raindrops.
The flowers.
The clouds.
The sky.
Just God all by himself.
Suddenly our thoughts, our peace, our serenity become all one.
JESUS CHRIST IS OUR SAVIOR!

Sixteen Books of the Bible listed in this story.

Once a remark was made about the hidden books of the Bible (merely by a fluke). It kept people looking so hard for the facts and for others it was a revelation.  Some were in a jam, especially since the names of the books were not capitalized, but the truth finally struck home to numbers of readers. To others it was a real job. We want it to be a most fascinating few moments for you. Yes, there will be some really easy ones to spot.  Others may require judges to help them.  I will quickly admit it usually takes a minister to find one of them, and there will be loud lamentations when it is found.  A little lady says she brews a cup of tea so she can concentrate better.  See how well you can compete.  Relax now.

God’s Perfect and Permissive Will

If you are humble, God can speak to your spirit. God speaking to your spirit gives you a peace and joy; it allows you to function in this evil world.  If you are going contrary to the word of God, you are in his permissive will. In God’s permissive will, we often pursue a plan that is different from God's perfect plan. Yet we are sincere, desiring to follow God. So, we earnestly pray, we beseech God, we are persistent, and God relents, he gives us our desire but we will not prosper or be as productive for Him. You will not experience the blessings that come from following the King of Kings.

God has designed a map for each of our lives. It makes your life easier when you are in the perfect will of God. We discover God’s perfect will by seeking Him through his Word, His Spirit, and His people.

Cell phone Tips

4 Things you might not have known about your  Cell Phone

For all the folks with cell phones. (This should be printed and kept in your car, purse, and wallet. Good information to have with you.)

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.
Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.

Check out the things that you can do with it:
FIRST   (Emergency)
The Emergency Number worldwide for  Mobile   is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an Emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly, this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.
SECOND   (Hidden  Battery   Power)
Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the keys *3370#. Your cell phone will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell phone next time.
THIRD   (How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone? )
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following Digits on your phone:
  *#06# .
A 15-digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.
If your phone is stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing            mobile phones.
 &n bsp;
And Finally....
FORTH   (Free Directory Service for Cells)
Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for 411 information calls when they don't have to. Most of us do not carry a telephone di rectory in our vehicle, which makes this situation even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information option, simply dial:
(800) FREE411   or (800) 373-3411
without incurring any charge at all.  Program this into your cell phone now.

Life is like a Vapor

I awaken this morning, sun glistening through my blinds. Thanking God for another day! I reached for my remote and turned to the news only to hear the weatherman forecast another hot day. Temperature in the 90’s but feels as though it’s in the 100’s. Getting dress and heading to my vehicle finding my windows covered with a mist/vapor.  Life is mysterious! Water vapor condenses itself to form small droplets on surfaces from the night air and disappear with the heat of the day. Sweat appears and disappears with the cooling/heating of the body. Vapor, there one moment and gone the next (a film of water vapor). Such is life!  A man’s lifespan might range from birth into the hundreds but in God’s eye it could be a twinkle of the eye. We all take life for granted, sometimes getting caught up in our microwave society not stopping to think.  Live your life as each day is your last but make sure you’re in the will of God.

Virtuous Woman (21st Century)

Beautiful Woman, Who art thee?

Born of Woman!
Saved by a man hanging on a tree!

Beautiful woman, who art thee?

They said I’m black, they said you’re white
But is there any difference in the night!

Who art thee?

Your hair is your crown;
Your body draped in fine linen and jewels.
Destine for greatness in your tour

Who art thee?

Do you fill your quivers with the word of God?
Are you a crown to your husband’s head?
Are you mending and blending, so your family might live.

Some women are lying, others dying and some hearts are denying.

Beautiful woman!

Who!

 Art!

Thee!

Concentrate on this!!!!

"To get something you  never had, you have to do something you never
did" When God takes something from your grasp, He's not punishing you, but
merely opening your hands to receive something better. Concentrate on this
sentence..... 'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God
will not protect you.'

The Holy Alphabet ..

Although  things are not perfect
Because  of trial or pain
Continue  in thanksgiving
 Do  not begin to blame
Even  when the times are hard
Fierce  winds are bound to blow
  God  is forever able
Hold  on to what you know
 Imagine  life without His love
Joy  would cease to be
Keep  thanking  Him for all the things
 Love  imparts to thee
 Move  out of "Camp Complaining"

On  earth can yield the power
 Praise  can do alone
  Quit  looking at the future
 Redeem  the time at hand
Start  every day with worship

 To  "thank" is a command
Until  we see Him coming

Victorious  in the sky
We'll  run the race with gratitude
 Xalting  God most high
Yes,  there'll be good times and yes some will be bad,  but...
Z  ion waits in glory ... where none are ever sad!

"I  AM Too blessed to be stressed!"
The  shortest distance between a
problem and a solution
is  the distance between your
knees and the floor.
The  one who kneels to the Lord
can stand up to  anything.
Love  and peace be with you
forever,  Amen.

God Sees Everything

We worry about people seeing us and what they think of our actions. Why? Ask A’chan (Joshua 7:1-26) who removed treasures from Jericho without Joshua’s knowledge. God had given specific instructions about the destruction of Jericho, and Joshua passed it on. A’chan’s disobedience brought persecution upon all of Israel.

Gray Hair

In church the other night looking over the audience; something interesting caught my eye! “All I could see was gray heads and occasionally a younger head." Immediately, the spirit spoke to me saying “A Sea of Gray Heads”.  I pondered the significant of gray hair; I decided to research gray hair in the bible. A preacher said once a church without young people is a dying church. This can be viewed in many ways. Are young people getting the teaching they need to know that God is their life and without him there is no life? Are the Elder's missing the mark? Is the Word of God being stressed as a need for survival? God’s word is an instructor, a peace provider, a friend, a burden bearer and a confronter through your entire life. I found more scriptures than I realized on the subject of gray hair.  These two specifically (Proverb 16:31 Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness. Proverbs 20:29 the glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old.

Scriptures for reference; Genesis 42:38, 44:29, 44:31, Deuteronomy 32:35, I King 2:6 & 9, Job 15:10, Isaiah 46: 4, and Hosea 7:9

World Ending May 21 2011

Who would dare call God a liar?  The Word clearly states: Matthew 24:36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.
Mark 13:32 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
Acts 1: 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

Body, Soul and Spirit

“It is well with my Soul.” An old Negro quote, we had become accustomed to hearing. Is it well with your soul or has this desire become as farfetched as the traditional hymn. The body, soul and spirit are your human make up. Your Body is made from dirt;the earth where it will return at death. Your soul is actually you; it will either go to heaven or hell. Your decisions and way of life will be the determining factor. Your Spirit, which you received from God himself, when he blew life into the nostril of man.
Genesis 2:7  And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul

Revelation 7: 9-12

In Sunday school this past Sunday, we were studying one of John’s visions where he saw 144,000 and another great multitude, which no man can number crying in a loud voice giving GOD thankful worship. It says not only were the great multitude worshiping God but so were the angels who stood about the throne.
It has been for many years told that it was only 144,000 that were seen. However, there was another multitude of nations, kindreds, people and tongues standing before the throne. It is wonderful to know that John’s vision showed others before God in the heavens. The multitude was giving thanks for their salvation and the Angels joined in the worship. Oh, what a time it is going to be in heaven.

Studying the bible clarifies a lot that have been said over the year. Study the Bible to show yourself approved.

Galatians 5:19-21
works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Prayer changes Things

I was reading an article today on domestic violence. All of sudden a gloom came over me. Remembering when I was in this situation.  The article was a perfect description of me and my reaction. Why don’t we leave? Why do we make up excuses for the abuse? It was only by the grace of God that I got out with my life. Only prayer saved me. Praying in supplication everyday. God heard my prayer.

The Gifts of the Spirit

1 Corinthians 12:

4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.  7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

"A Fervent Prayer"

When You Don't know what to pray (Matthew 6:9-13)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

"God's Grace"

Grace enables us to make it, no matter what.  No matter who turns against you, no matter what obstacles you face, no matter how many times you fail.  God’s incredible grace is there to pick you up, to revive lost hope, to heal broken bones, and to strengthen your weak will. It is never inadequate, nor is it ever depleted.  It never spoils and it has no expiration date. Scriptures you can reference for strength.

1.      II Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.  Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2.      Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast.
3.      Psalms 32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
4.      Psalms 18:28 For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.
5.      Psalms 145:18  The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
6.      Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
7.      II Corinthians 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed say by day.
8.      Exodus 33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

Who are these people?

Where are the people whom God created? How did we get lost in the transition of generation? Where is the heart that was given to man from creation? The Agape’s (love that is wholly selfless and spiritual) love. Have the bible been written and re-written so many times that the original version have taken on man's version of love; a love for me, myself and I. A love for many that only fills greet of man not the purpose God intended.  Heart are failing, minds are stressing and the body is under tremendous pressure give a little love and let it return to you in threefold.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Patient is a virtue

Patient is to endure discomfort without complaint.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit the Holy Spirit produces is love, joy and peace. It is being Patient, kind and good. It is being faithful
23 and gentle and having control of oneself. There is no law against things of that kind.
