Works of the Flesh

Galatians 5:19-21

 works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Prayer changes Things

I was reading an article today on domestic violence. All of sudden a gloom came over me. Remembering when I was in this situation.  The article was a perfect description of me and my reaction. Why don’t we leave? Why do we make up excuses for the abuse? It was only by the grace of God that I got out with my life. Only prayer saved me. Praying in supplication everyday. God heard my prayer.

Fruits of the Spirit

Galatians 5
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

The Gifts of the Spirit

1 Corinthians 12:

⁴Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.  ⁵And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. ⁶And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.  ⁷But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. ⁸For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; ⁹To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; ¹⁰To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: ¹¹But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
