Single Mothers

I thank God for this Day Dec 24, 2011. I thank God for allowing me to serve him. If it had not been for Jesus in raising my children, I don't know what I would have done. My children and grandchildren enjoyed the day: we cooked out and shared the gift of Jesus Christ's birth. They say it could not be done but I managed  to raise all three of my children alone. I never gave up on Jesus and I never will. My recommendation with the times as it is not just for mother but all man kind to find your place in the Lord and never get out.  Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus' Birth

Walking out into a cool crisp evening, temperature about 59 degrees, stars glistening and all about the neighborhood the lights are shimmering signifying the birth of Jesus.  Can you imagine the anxiety of the shepherds?  One bright star was in the sky; a star leading to our savior, our messiah, the one who would live and die for our sin. I can imagine the shepherd’s steps were not quick or long enough to reach their destiny. It had to be an honor to see Jesus Christ lying in a manger!

Death the Door Stopper

Today we buried one of my best friends mother; last year this time we buried one of my friends' sister who died from cancer. We say it playfully all the time this time of the year. “You or I might not make it to the New Year.”  No one knows there cut off time; it’s not a good feeling but Earth is not our home. We are sad but the bible tells us death is a time for rejoicing and a birth is time for weeping. It takes many life lessons to understand this saying. Giving our life to Jesus is the only way!!!!!!!

What do u really think about Xmas?

Can We Stop The Madness?

It is 6:05 and I am sitting in traffic in a town with the population of 17,000. I am out shopping this evening and the traffic is bumper to bumper. The East bound traffic is moving not stopping for the caution light. Therefore, the North bound traffic is sitting through several light changes. Everybody was going somewhere to get nothing. Have we really become that commercialized? Did you know the highest number of suicides is committed during Christmas and Valentine’s Day? There are a lot of people who are alone and broke. I’m sure our economical situation has escalated this situation.  Please be a giver this year; I saw on the news where there are layaway Angels this year. People are going to Wal-Mart and K-mart paying for people layaways. What a Blessing!!!!

Joseph "Jesus' Birth"

Joseph was a Carpenter; he is Jesus Christ earthly father. Joseph was engaged to Mary and shortly after, he discovered Mary was pregnant. Bewildered and confused Joseph first thought was Mary had been unfaithful.  Joseph being an upright man, and not desiring to make her a public example, had a mind to break their engagement. However, after he had been informed of the truth by an angel (Matthew 1:18-25), he treated Mary kindly.

Joseph and Mary were hardly special individuals in themselves, but God graciously used them for His purpose to bring His Son into the world.

We need to honor Joseph because he was a considerate husband, an obedient servant, and a good citizen.

Mary "Jesus' Birth"

Pregnant,  a virgin and engaged to be married, if I was Mary all my humanly emotions would have told me to be scared. Of course in this day and time to see a unwedded mother is everyday, but in those day it was not heard of. Reading the story as it happened the spiritual side of me would have cried “rejoice ” after getting over the shock. Read Mathew 1:18-23

Jesus’ birth

If you could go back in time to Jesus’ birth, what or who would you be in the scene of Jesus’ birth?
